Q: Is it legal not to have a Foreign Expert Certificate but have a 1 year residence?

I'm going to be changing jobs, and my FEC has to be canceled with my current company. This means that before I go to my new job, I'm going to be living in China without an FEC for up to a month, if not more. Is that legal?

yes..take a one year university admission..and also one year residence certificate..

Going to your local PSB or police station you got your residence permit would be the best way to find out. If it is only for 1 month, and you already have a residence permit and can explain that you are changing jobs, I very much doubt they will care, and probably just issue you a new temporary permit, or they may simply ask for you to return there after beginning your new job. They aren't going to toss you out of the country, so don't worry.
