Q: Is it possible to go to a tailor and just buy a role of fabric?

And not actually get anything sewn? I want to buy a couple of metres of silk for a project I'm doing and going to a tailor is more convenient than trying to find a fabric market.

Yeah you can talk a tailor into selling you just the fabric. But you will end of paying for the convenience of not going to a fabric market.
