Q: Is it possible to rent a treadmill in Beijing?

I'd like to have my own treadmill in my flat. I've seen treadmills available from Taobao for as little as 1000 RMB but I really don't need to own one. I'd much rather just rent which means less stuff to worry about when I get out of here some day...

did you consider taking the stairs or do you specifically need the treadmill to clog up your apartment and double as a place to hang wet clothes ?

Sorry for answering my own question, but I've actually being trying to reply to Scandinavian's comment. After the 3rd attempt I gave up. I wanted to say that stairs don't do it for me.

Call me spoiled but I like watching those meters turn into kilometers.

Scandinavian:

cool. If you actually end up taobaoing something, could you give us a review. I do take the stairs but it does suck, and the pool is not open during "winter"

sometimes commenting fails for me. what helps is.

1. Shut down computer

2. take the stairs down

3. go outside and yell some swear words

4. take stairs back up

5. comment away

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
