I think it depends very much on your qualifications.

But, iIf you're a junior IT, then China won't need you as they have more than needed and look for specialists.

You can nevertheless try to find BPO/CRM service companies, who needs some locally-paid junior technician for help desk support to US or other Western countries.

If you're willing to work for pennies it shouldn't be too difficult to land a job.

Remember you weren't hired in the foreign company's own company, so they don't have to provide you with their employment package.

Baivab, keep this in mind:

Most companies are "encouraged" to hire local Chinese, and if it is a Chinese company they actually have to prove why they need to hire you over a local. Most of the time this is because they need a native XXXXX speaker or you have particular expertise in a certain field that is difficult or impossible to find here.

Of course, a foreign company can hire who ever they want.

Your best bet is to look for companies that need a native English speaker or a foreign company willing to pay you what you want.

Be flexible as well. You might need to take a pay cut from what you're doing now, but you can still get a decent wage here that will be more than enough to live on. Also, it depends on what you are looking for. If you are asking for an expat package, etc. then it is extremely difficult to come by.

Chinese workers will work for a fraction of the salary that you would, you will be willing to work for a fraction of hours that chinese worker would be willing to work...
There are a hugh pile of IT graduates in China almost all of them willing to work for under 3000rmb a month and sleep in a shared dorm room...

If you have some extra special skills AND experiance you could get a job but its hard, worth trying but it will be a hard task!

good luck!
