Guangzhou has got some great amusement parks which the kids will surely love. However, most of these charge an entrance fee. But come on, do you really want to be that tight with your money? Let them have some fun, take them to Chimelong amusement Park or the Guangzhou Zoo! There's also a Crocodile Park in Guangzhou which would be exciting for them. I'm sure it's not every day that your friends with kids come for a visit so take them somewhere special!

Ohhh man, I'm not usually one to make jokes on people and please don't take offense but did you just mix China and the words cheap and free. Cheap, ok I can almost see that but free. It costs 5 mao to use a public WC. On the real side, Guangzhou has some good parks that are close to the see side for outdoor activities that are free but that doesnt include snacks etc.
