If you look on your remote, there will be a button called squiggle squiggle. Press it and the channel number display will go away. I wish I could be more helpful, but woeboohwayshwoopotonguehwaaa

For over a year, every 15 minutes (when the TV was on) a little animated girl would appear in the corner doing jumping jacks.  The caption (in Chinese) below her read "Get up and exercise with me".

After the first month, I was so used to seeing it that it completely faded from view.  1 year later I noticed it had disappeared.  The only other person (I was living alone at the time) that was in my apartment was my maid.  She told me that the little girl annoyed her so she went into the TV settings and turned it off.

It didn't even occur to me to see if I COULD turn it off.

A:I'll give my two cents on the age part. It's not as easy but can definitely be done. I was 21, fresh out of university and landed my first teaching job in china as a homeroom kindergarten teacher on a pretty standard 20,000/month salary. I'm 1 year in now and am still happy. Pretty much all international kindergarten jobs on here want 2 years experience, but many will still accept if you have experience in your home country. With that being said, being white and having a nice looking face is much more of a decision factor in china vs the west, if you can- use it to your advantage. Good luck finding something! -- brinsleym
