I realized the other day that I have never seen or heard of a Chinese family having adopted a non-chinese kid.
I am curious if anyone knows if there are specific laws that don't allow/disuade this (other than maybe the one-child policy), or if its just a cultural/social thing?
1. Where to adopt a non-chinese kid?
2. Chinese family have very strong herditary succession traditional..it's hard to change in a short time
3. Chinese ID is very difficult to get.
It's just cultural thing....
Would have to get an award as unluckiest kid in the world.
I don't think they can adopt unless the adoptee is related to them (i.e orphaned niece/ nephew/an orphaned cousin who is a minor). Any situation other than this is considered illegal.
