If you go to the new shopping Plaza called the MIX-C on Minzhu Dadao between 5 Elephant Square or the Walmart at Admiral Plaza and Langdong Bus Station, and once there look at level B-1 (basement 1) for a supermarket called OLE, you will find beans there.  They have lots of foreign food, darn good French bread, donuts and other goodies.  But a bit expensive, do.

I have also seen them at Walmart Stores at some times.

As last resort, try Taobao.

  God bless you sir.

And the Lord spake unto mArtiAn and said there were beans. And mArtiAn made of these beans and other assorted ingredients, some chili. And it was good.

I made chilli in China. The beans weren't the red kidney beans we usually use. I learned something tho, I simmered my beans with the tomatoes, because it takes 36 hours to cook Chinese imitation tomatoes.. You can't do that. Acid from tomatoes makes the beans tough, they will never soften, even if you simmer them for days. You have to boil the beans in water, a little baking soda will tenderize beans.Or maybe the Chinese imitation beans are best used as walkway stones?
