Q: L visa extension without leaving mainland
Hi,
I know this question has been asked before but the situation might have changed.
I work in Shanghai on Z visa now and would like to travel in China for a couple of months after completing my contract.
Any chance to get a 2 months L visa here without going to HK?
My company will switch my Z visa to 1 month L visa at the end of the contract. Will I be able to extend it in any city in China later?

Never heard off! But, you could maybe get right info at PSB.
30-days L (or 30-days extension of RP---that's new!) is granted, so your new employer have sufficient time to apply for new FEC, or FT can 'prepare' for leaving China (traveling).
I read somewhere, PSB (or Embassy) ask for 'show of sufficient funds', before they grant L.
Travel in HK and Macau, more interesting than the Mainland, problem solved.
Z visa can not be converted into other visa which i have asked for my friend before....not sure if this is the same in Shanghai.
in Shenzhen, the company or the individual can be your sponsor for you visa extension. donno if it's the same scenario in Shanghai.
