Q: Ladies, how do you get your birth control in China?

I'll be moving to China in the summer and am interested in how you receive your B.C. Are you able to have it shipped into China or will I need to find a doctor and get a prescription written once there? Any information would be great.

I've never tried getting birth control, but most drugs (even ones that require prescription in the states) are available OTC, so I don't see why birth control would be any different.

Scandinavian:

yup. a lot of them under different names, so it is important to know the active ingredient and dosage and be aware that even though the main active ingredient is the same, side effects can differ.

not having sex will solve the problem or ask ur partner to use condom which is available even in supermarkets in china

A:I'll give my two cents on the age part. It's not as easy but can definitely be done. I was 21, fresh out of university and landed my first teaching job in china as a homeroom kindergarten teacher on a pretty standard 20,000/month salary. I'm 1 year in now and am still happy. Pretty much all international kindergarten jobs on here want 2 years experience, but many will still accept if you have experience in your home country. With that being said, being white and having a nice looking face is much more of a decision factor in china vs the west, if you can- use it to your advantage. Good luck finding something! -- brinsleym
