Q: Is laser cosmetic surgery or laser eye surgery common in China

Is laser for scars, hair removal or tatoo removal done in China? How about eye surgery?

Yes, actually comestic surgery in China is of a relatively high quality if it is done in a good hospital in the city where you live.  China is the largest market in Asia for plastic surgery and thus one of the largest in the world.  If you are contemplating plastic surgery, I would begin by consulting the No. 1 People's Hospital in the city where you live, the "Restorative Surgery Department".

You will not need a plastic surgeon for hair removal -- that can be done by a train and licensed cosmetologist under medical supervision.

Tatoo removal is a very, very delicate procedure and you should only undertake this under the care of a highly trained specialist because of the risks involved.

In Shanghai if you are in Shanghai, you should consider the No. 4 (Merkin) Hospital.
