Q: Late payment of salary?Give them an award and formalize it with a picture: problem solved!

for chinese employees at least it seems working. Our company is again 3 weeks late (i got my salary though) and the boss decided to set up a meeting, where he apologize, talks about that soon he will deal with it and gives to 6 employee (one of them is sitting behind me, still happy like a kindergarten kid) an award (a envelop, probably a part of their salary) for their work.

Whose problem? I imagined the employees creating a beautiful certificate stating their manager is the most successful guy in the company, since he/she's the only one that receives the salary on time. Or more bluntly, that he/she is incompetent beyond imagination and therefore awarded. And then crowding into headquarters, presenting it with a nice speech about how happy they are not to receive their salaries on time, dragging the manager up on the stage, shake hands and kick his @ss while someone else is taking pictures to appear in tomorrow's newspaper. Wouldn't that be lovely?

Given that Chinese people haven't got the vaguest idea when it comes to irony, most Chinese bosses would pin it on the wall as a display of devotion and respect from their employees.

You must not be working for a first-tier company.

Never, ever suffer late payment, that is of course, unless you are here illegally and then you have no choice.
