Never carried a Huawei, but I wouldn't now with all I've read.  I have carried a Samsung and an iPhone 6s+, and to me it's not the phone, but the OS.  I've used Mac computers for must be 20+ years now, and I am a lot more comfortable in the iOS world.  I doubt Android has any deal-breaking flaws, I just never adapted to it.

I am a true hypocrite on this question, I have never used either product for personal use, used apple computers for business purposes, but I have bought and sold and shorted apple stock many times and I bought Huawei stock for my wife's account a couple of times when it dropped like a rock. I make money on conventional wisdom but the anarchist in me can't resist making money off the folly of others.

I used both a lot. My last main phone was iphone8 plus. Not a bad phone, the ios is alright. I just find its over priced. I bought the honor 8x max when it first came out a few months ago for my wife and ended up switching her for that phone and gave her my iphone. I like android better but for the price and the quality of the phone it's really good. The screen is 7.12 inch really nice, sound is great, works well. My only gripe is the camera is not so good. not as good as the iphone I had. And the price was 1500 RMB.  iphone is going to have to start upping their game is they want to compete with Chinese phone makers.
