Cities such as Dalian, Qingdao, Xiamen, and any others down the east coast.
I know for the rest of the world typically seaside cities have better air quality, lending to a better atmosphere in the people's lifestyle overall. Are there enough beaches to hangout at during an off-day of work, public or private? Do the people in seaside cities have a more relaxed perspective due to being close to the sea? How's the population (i.e. are the streets still crowded like a zoo or not as much?)
Looking for some answers with some previous experience, too.
And also, what about the climate?
I've lived inland for quite some time, looking to maybe relocate this way.
The 3 cities you mentioned fits the general description. (better air quality, beach, people are more chilled, etc)
Climate: Coastal cities share pretty much the same climate, except houses in the southern part of China (south of The Long River) doesn't have the luxury of floor heater as you will find in the Northern cities.
Cuisine: You will definite find seafood. But how they cook it, varies city from city
Population: Shanghai probably holds the largest population among all coastal cities. Morning traffic can be nightmare. Dalian, Xiamen, Qingdao should be fine.
Hope this helps
