Your chances as stated by you, of getting a loan from a Chinese Bank are less than winning the Electronic Welfare Lottery.

Chinese Banks are under a directive by the Government to make loans more difficult to obtain to cool down the economy and slow inflation.  And that is for natives, for foreigners the cahnaces are nil.

Be realistic, you as a student here do not have any collateral to back up a request for a loan.  As a student on an "X" visa you are not legally supposed to work, unless you get an intership from your college, and those are very hard to get.  Since you have no fix income here in China (money received from home does not count, must be money generate locally, that can be checked locally), in any Bank Officer's eyes you do not have the ability to repay the loan,.  Further, as a foreigner and as a student, you have no ties to remain here, so they see you as a high risk beause you can fly home and forget to pay  it back.

You can try it, but I will say your chqances of getting one are nil.

Sure and the yellow brick road will follow. You need collateral, good credit rating in China and so on. Cant you just get a part time job

You could try to get a student loan. They do exist! If your a university student first try to get a scholarship that would help you out and if that doesn't work there should be paper work to fill out that gets you those loans. 

Your gonna have to check the school your at to see what kind of student loans they offer. Once you get your degree you will have to pay all the student loans back and all the debt you owe to the school in order to get your degree in your hand. That's all the collateral you need.
