Sigh....this again.

This shit is becoming the new normal. It won't be long before the news doesn't even really register, a bit like when you see a headline about another kid shooting up his school and don't bother reading far past the headline because you already know what it's going to say.

It will probably be the usual suspects, homegrown or immigrants - doesn't really matter, they'll have some prepared statement about how it's revenge for the nightly bombing of innocents in ... wherever, ISIS will claim credit for it whether they were involved or not and nothing will happen to try and address what sets these wankers off because it's not a simple situation that can be solved easily, even if anyone was willing to do what it took.

I just feel bad for the people who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time - they won't be the last unfortunately - and hope that they catch the people behind it alive and throw them into the darkest prison they have.

Van Rams Into Pedestrians On London Bridge Followed By Knife Attack, Casualties Reported: Live Feed

"What I saw: injured pedestrians, first responders, armed police, people running north. What I heard of: stabbings, injured"

icnif77:

In what appears to be a repeat of the deadly March 22 terrorist attack on Westminster Bridge in London, on Saturday night a white van rammed into as many as 15-20 pedestrians as "several people mowed down" on London Bridge in central London in what has been dubbed a "major incident." The incident happened at 10.30pm on Saturday. According to preliminary reports there have been at least 6 victims, and a cab  driver on the bridge has reported he saw a stabbing man. About five people were being treated for injuries after the vehicle mounted the pavement and hit them, she said.

Scotland Yard reports that in addition to the car ramming, London police say they have also responded to an incident at Borough Market; armed officers at scene. It is unclear if the two incidents are releated.

Several eyewitness accounts have emerged which suggest there have been multiple casualties, with bodies strewn across the pavement. Others reports that several people are receiving emergency treatment after being stabbed. One woman told the Sun; "We had to run there was loads of shooting".

BBC reporter Holly Jones, who was on the bridge at the time of the incident, said the white van was driven by a male driver and was "probably travelling at about 50 miles an hour - veered of the road into the crowds of people who were walking along the pavement," she told BBC News.". The van, which was travelling from the direction of central London, headed towards the south side of the river.

According to Will Heaven, managing editor of the Spectator, a man crashed into people on the bridgge, "then there was stabbing attack." Heaven also notes that "it seemed south side of London Bridge epicenter of what seems a terrorist attack. We have been escorted by police from bridge." He adds that "what I saw: injured pedestrians, first responders, armed police, people running north. What I heard of: stabbings, injured."

According to Sky News, "all the information points in the direction of another terrorist attack."

BBC reports that multiple people have been killed in the various incidents in London,

Update: 6:42 pm

According to a BBC reporter at the scene, police are now searching for three possibly armed suspects. According to Sky News, citing Scotland Yard,  there has been a third separate incident in the Vauxhall region in South London. The BBC also adds that it can confirm earlier reports of gunshots being fired. Reports suggest it may have been more than one incident:

  • A van hitting people at London Bridge and three people then jumping out of the vehicle and attacking members of the public;
  • A separate incident at Borough Market
  • Police have now said they are responding to a third incident in Vauxhall

It is understood that police are looking for three suspects who may be armed.

Here are Washington Post reporting on the London Bridgen attack:

Detailed repport:

By Griff WitteRick Noack and Karla Adam June 3 at 8:19 PM

LONDON — A van driving at high speed mowed down pedestrians on London Bridge Saturday night before the occupants got out and began stabbing patrons at nearby bars and restaurants, witnesses said in an attack that police described as terrorism.

Police said at least one person had been killed. Witnesses described a trail of serious injuries on the bridge and in the adjacent Borough Market.

The attacks set off scenes of panic in the heart of London on a cool June evening as the city’s streets were filled with people heading home from dinner or out to pubs.

London’s Metropolitan Police said the events were being treated as “terrorist incidents.”

British Prime Minister Theresa May, who returned to 10 Downing Street for emergency meetings with security officials, had earlier described the incidents as “a potential act of terrorism.”

">The scene after a van hits pedestrians on the London BridgeView PhotosWitnesses reported that a white van was traveling fast when it mounted the sidewalk and plowed into a group of people crossing the Thames River on foot.

Witnesses reported that a white van was traveling fast — approximately 50 miles per hour — when it mounted the sidewalk and plowed into a group of people crossing the Thames River on foot around 10:30 p.m..

Witnesses speaking to the BBC said the van collided with a guardrail, and three occupants got out. They then began attacking people on the bridge with knives before making their way to Borough Market.

London’s Metropolitan Police later confirmed an attack at Borough Market, an area packed with popular restaurants that is located just south of the bridge. Police said that armed officers were responding to the scene, that there were reports of injuries from knife attacks and that shots had been fired — though it was unclear by who.

“I heard many gunshots and I heard people running away,” said Joe Dillon, 23, who was near London Bridge when the incident occurred. “Police officers were shouting: ‘Get out of here, you need to go!’ I heard at least eight rounds of gunshots, but I’m not sure who was shooting. When I arrived a second after I had heard the screams and the shots, I saw five or six officers running toward the van.”

Cell phone video from a restaurant in the market showed people diving under tables amid the sound of breaking glass as officers rushed in and ordered patrons to stay down.

Tamara Alcolea, 24, who works as a bartender in a pub called Southwark Rooms, which is near the bridge, said the first indication that something was wrong was when she heard that someone had been stabbed. in the proximity of London Bridge.

“Then we heard gunshots and people started to hide beneath the tables,” Alcolea said. “We locked ourselves in the office. From the window, I could see an injured person being treated by emergency personnel. Then the police came in and told us to run. Everyone was panicking."

Police said they were responding to a third potential incident in the Vauxhall area, which is about a mile from the scene of the first two incidents. The subway station at Vauxhall was briefly closed, but later reopened. Police later clarified that the Vauxhall incident was unrelated.

Dozens of police cars sped to London Bridge, with helicopters hovering overhead. Police closed the bridge and urged the public to avoid the area.

The incident caused chaos in the heart of London in an area normally bustling on a Saturday night. Pedestrians near the bridge said they were ordered by police to run. Video footage showed people fleeing in a panic. Two hours after the incidents began, police were still widening cordons and pushing bystanders further back from the scenes.

Officials scrambled to respond to the attacks.

May, who had been out campaigning ahead of an election slated for Thursday, returned to Downing Street and was being briefed by security officials.

Jeremy Corbyn, leader of the opposition Labour Party, said on Twitter: “Brutal and shocking incidents reported in London. My thoughts are with the victims and their families. Thank you to the emergency services.”

President Trump was briefed on the incident, and immediately took to Twitter to say: “We need to be smart, vigilant and tough. We need the courts to give us back our rights. We need the Travel Ban as an extra level of safety!”

In a follow up tweet minutes later, he wrote: “Whatever the United States can do to help out in London and the U. K., we will be there - WE ARE WITH YOU. GOD BLESS!”

Saturday’s incident comes less than two weeks after 22 people were killed in a bomb blast following a Manchester concert. And it comes less than three months after a driver killed four pedestrians on another Thames crossing, Westminster Bridge. The assailant then stabbed to death a London police officer at the gates of Parliament.

We are at war. The US, Britain, France and allies are dropping bombs on the middle east every day and these ISIS/homegrown brainwashed fanatics are attacking wherever they can. In the long run, disengaging from wars in the middle east would be a preferable strategy for western countries but in the meantime a crackdown seems necessary. Bring the army back from the wars and put in the streets. This shit in Europe is getting out of control.

That's probably the point of the attacks.

However, that would just mean the locals in those countries who are opposed to IS will just end up being killed (raped, tortured, etc).

While it's seen as shocking and terrible that a dozen people get injured or killed in Europe, why isn't there the same sort of outrage when hundreds and thousands get injured or killed in the Middle East?

Shining, we should be outraged when these fanatics kill Muslims, I agree. The fact is ISiS wouldn't exist if the stupid Iraq war never happened. We should do what we can to help locals contain them over there but once our bombs start falling and civilian casualties happen, there will be blowback. Our priority has to be to keep our own people safe first and foremost. We can do that better with more resources devoted to security and intelligence gathering and less on drone strikes in Syria.

i disagree with all of you, targetting so called military targets and leaving civilians alive to seek revenge is a stupid policy. war should be complete destruction and victory, civilians be damned or don't start a war at all.

When civilians know they will die with terrorists, the fear brings down the violence, but when you give them a get out of jail card with crazy rules of engagement and then pay for their trip to europe, you are just a damn fool.

Scott's, even your socialist buddy Francois Hollande said France was at war with ISIS. The US hasn't declared war since World War II so that is irrelevant. The US and co are dropping tons of bombs on Iraq and Syria and supporting Iraqi ground troops. We are now subject to almost daily terrors attacks. Sounds like a war to me and it's being fought in our streets so why not put the army there?

My sympathy is for all those affected.

having grown up in a country that, within my life-time, was constantly on alert to terrorism, it worries me to see these times return.

a significant factor is young, usually unemployed, single men are the most susceptible to being sucked into this kind of action.

With nothing to lose, in their eyes they have most to gain, including notoriety and bettering the previous 'body count'

this kind of action is designed to be divisive, especially in multi-cultural countries.

there is never any excuse targeting soft-targets as these guys would not have the balls to face to a one-on-one fight.

on another note, it is not surprising that there is no comment from a certain new poster who 'claims' they were involved in a more direct fight with the ideology at play here

London mayor Sadiq Khan, in the article, said that terrorist attacks are "part and parcel of living in a big city."

Khan told Londoners there is “no reason to be alarmed.”

I’m reassured that we are one of the safest global cities in the world, if not the safest global city, but we always evolve and review to make sure we’re as safe as we possibly can be

London has a neophyte mayor and everything is copacetic. Relax you have a Muslim mayor in the most tolerant multi-cultural city in the world. What could possibly go wrong? don't worry, because I assure you that everything's copacetic

Can you infidels in Britain feel the love? Can I get an Amen? Now lets all sing "allah will overcome and make sure all the women are outside the mosque"

I can't wait till they try this crap in New York, we do have some snowflake metrosexuals in New York who will run for cover, but we also have a lot of "yimmers" that would still be looking for a fight a day after the attack.

when a god says "you are my chosen people", you will be ostracized by the whole world, jealousy, by every race, by every religion, forever, nothing new there, but since the Europeans out of guilt of not protecting and being tolerant of Jews threw the problem, Jewish settlers on the middle east in the 1940's, now the middle east is getting even by settling in Europe and tearing down their crap, like they think Israel did to them. KARMA. Like a tale of two cities, there is a twisted sick perverted system of ironic honour to history repeating itself. It's better than sleeping through "merchant in venice". However, all what is happening today in West-EU (suicide bombings and other BS) was already seen and experienced by Israel, i.e. recent history.

They laughed at Israel and said Islam is peaceful and Israel has nothing to fear and is over exaggerating the threat and now the threat is in their schools and neighborhoods.

Sometimes there is a justice god watching over the world. Obama not doing anything to save Europe by not putting troops on the ground in Syria and Trump telling the Europeans to pay up for NATO, after 70 years of carrying Europe's water and laughing at America, the chickens have come home to roost, now if Trump would put some nuclear weapons in Germany and get all US troops off the European continent, i will be happier than a pig playing in the mud, peppa pig here i come.

Ah... I love the ignorant racism that comes with having open forums.... /s

Firstly, Mayor Khan's words have been seriously taken out of context! AND somehow used to attack his religion... Too bad what you post doesn't actually link. Certainly the second one you put up seems to be a deliberate miscontextualisation to make him look bad... (The actual quote is this: "You will see an increased police presence today, including armed officers and uniformed officers. There is no reason to be alarmed by this," he said. Especially remembering that UK police traditionally did not carry firearms - however, violence (of many types and sources has slowly changed this in recent years)).

Secondly - Israel. Saying you're the 'chosen people' is fine... when you don't actually expect the rest of the world to bend over for you. And that's basically what happened in Israel... and Europe basically told the locals living there (Palestinians) to fuck off. That's not specifically a religious issue - it's poltical. Yes, Europe's 'guilt' stuffed up and made things worse.

Germany and nukes.... it's NOT up to Trump to make such a decision! He does NOT rule the world!!!  AND...w ho the hell are they going to use them against? Russia is NOT the big bad wolf the US has made them out to be for the last few decades. So, are they supposed to fire them off at.... refugees??? The German people do NOT want to be a nuclear weapons power... so, in that respect, the US can STFU!

And, as for Islam being a peaceful religion... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islam_in_the_United_Kingdom

You'd better hope Islam is peaceful! Otherwise, those 3 million are going to wipe you out!

Islam is the fastest growing religion in the UK, especially for women. (and, we're not talking about immigrants, we're talking about converts!) So - either there are a lot of angry violent women joining up... or maybe, just maybe, you are extremely ignorant about Islam, and haven't actually tried to talk to Muslims.

i served in the legion 10 years before ambi and was fighting in Algeria, I know too much about Muslims, that's the problem, most people don't realize they are not tolerant and if they take over England, all the historical churches of other religions will be torned down or burned down in the middle of the night.

Tell me a muslim led country were I can go to Catholic mass on Christmas. Europe is over, they just don't know it yet.

if the germans don't want nuclear weapons, then tell america to withdraw all their troops, does america have to babysit germany for the next 100 years.

Germany killed 8 russians for each german soldier lost in world war 2, so why is america still protecting their ass.

I actually think america should close all embassies in europe and leave the continent completely until the new persian empire is finally in place and save some money and have one embassy in tehran for the whole empire, why wait for the inevitable, just bite the bullet and let it happen now, how many more infidels will have to die over the next generation, just surrender europe to iran and be done with it. I actually think if the Europeans save themselves it will be allying with Russia instead of America, because America is too politically correct to kill Muslims and do the dirty work to wipe out terroism before it wipes them out, but the Russian and the Chinese will commit genocide and collateral damage to wipe out Muslim terrorists, civilians be damned. Perhaps america can become a large Canada and let Nato bow to the Russian bear. what a screwed up world to even be thinking this way.

just got back from London, the movie "the matrix" is what is happening in London now, soon you want be able to hide behind a trash bin to take a leak, cameras everywhere, kill switches for delivery vehicles in sensitive areas to stop stolen vehicle attacks, new jammers for wifi and cell use around private rich dignitaries properties. It is getting really nasty and privacy is completely gone. I don't see an answer that brings back  a stable London. It's over. If the wealthy bail out of London like they did Paris, Europe is finished.

Florida is in the news now. Shootings... is it terrorist?  This afternoon it was Sidney.. Police standoff.. is it terrorist. One dead... seems he was not Muslim cos otherwise it would be a terror attack

Last week some Texan went on the rampage and killed 8 because his wife did not want to shag him. Or something like that.

Snowflake? Me? Yup.

I will tell you why.

These terror attacks in the UK are bringing people together. We have been here before. We will unite and defeat them. Anyone Brit with a FB account has seen more positive than negative messages shared. We are becoming united. The Muslim community are reporting these fuckers to the Police, the Tory Government are underfunding the Police. Theresa May blames social media, I blame Government foreign policy and lack of investment in job creation.

Snowflake yes, bigot no.

Trump seems to suggest we need guns in the UK. Trump suggests the Mayor of London is no good.

Let me say this to you all.

London was my home for 5 years. London is the most diverse city in the world. It is the number one world city with more nationalities than any other. The IRA bombed it when I lived there. And there was not any B52s bombing Ireland, or MOABS on Londenderry

I am 100% behind Sadiq Khan. He is a Londoner 100%.

Consider this. From Memory, the UK is committed to buying 137 F35Bs. Only $95 million each for the first 35, after that they go down to $80 million each.

All in the name of the war on terror.

A copper cost $40k a year

An informant costs about $5k a year, at a guess.

The Manchester Bomber had been reported to the Police. But the police had no money to investigate it would seem.

Consider this. There are some far right posters on here who could be considered a risk to innocent Muslims. Do we have a hotline to report them? Thinking Portland here. And Dylan Roof.

Technically, if we applied the same rules of encitment to violence to white power as we apply to the Muslim community, then Trump would be arrested.

And lets not forget, the radical right wing Islamists are right wing. Ultra right wing.

Give the snowflakes a chance.

I cant be arsed with this ever escalating right wing v right wing shit.

$10 billion dollars worth of aircraft carrier and jet fighters are great vote winners. Vengenge strikes against the terror countries and all that. Makes great TV news. A few more coppers ( Muslim ones at that), being paid to pick up phones to answer reports of nutters who want to kill....that might work better. But not a vote winner.

British counter-terrorism police are leading an investigation after a man stabbed three people at a central railway station in Manchester, England.

Two commuters - a man and woman in their 50s - were taken to hospital with knife injuries and a British Transport Police officer was stabbed in the shoulder.

An eyewitness to the attack, which occurred at Victoria Station around 9pm on New Year's Eve, said they heard the assailant shout "Allah" during the incident.

Seven police officers pounced on the alleged offender after tasering him and spraying him with capsicum spray. (9news)

Just been very close to the most terrifying thing. Man stabbed in Manchester Victoria station on tram platform. Feet from me, I was close to jumping on the tracks as attacker had long kitchen knife. Totally shaken. This is seriously messed up.

Police said a man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in custody.

Assistant Chief Constable Rob Potts said the investigation was being led by counter terrorism police and officers were keeping an "open mind".

He said: "Tonight's events will have understandably worried people but I need to stress that the incident is not ongoing, a man is in custody and there is currently no intelligence to suggest that there is any wider threat at this time."

Sam Clack, a BBC producer, was on a platform at Manchester Victoria railway station waiting for a tram home when he witnessed the attack.

The 38-year-old said: "I just heard the most blood-curdling scream and looked down the platform.

He said the older couple looked like they were arguing with another man dressed in black.

"It looked like they were having a fight but she was screaming in this blood curdling way,” he said.

"I saw police in high-vis come towards him.

"He came towards me. I looked down and saw he had a kitchen knife with a black handle with a good, 12-inch blade.

"It was just fear, pure fear."

Mr Clack said police officers used a Taser and capsicum spray before "six or seven" officers jumped on the man and held him down.

Counter Terrorism Police have been called in to assist with the investigation, but the suspect's motive has not been revealed. (9news)

He said he heard the suspect saying: "As long as you keep bombing other countries this sort of s*** is going to keep happening."

Mr Clack said both the man and the woman were conscious and were walked to a waiting ambulance for treatment to their injuries.

He said he also heard the attacker shouting "Allah" during the incident.

"He shouted it before, he shouted it during it - Allah," Mr Clack said.

As police appeared "within seconds" the man backed down the platform towards where Mr Clack was standing, worried he would be attacked.

Witness Sam Clack said he feared for his life when the man came rushing towards him with a large knife. (9news)

"I just had a feeling in the pit of my stomach," he said.

"Here's a man who's very agitated, angry, skittish. It appears he had already attacked someone. He had police coming towards him and he's coming towards me.

"I thought what I need to do is jump onto the tracks because next thing he's going to do is turn around and stab me. He's looking about, side to side and jumpy.

"At one point one of the police officers fired the Taser but it missed him.

"Then he got pepper sprayed and tasered and he went to the ground.

"It was scary. I have never been so scared in my life."

All three victims are in a serious condition and the police officer is receiving treatment for injuries to his shoulder.

A crime scene has been established and the station remains closed while police investigate.

Manchester's New Year's Eve celebrations went ahead as planned however people have been advised to make alternative arrangements as the station is closed.

Investigations are continuing.

Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
