Q: Long-distance study programs you can take while in China.

Many Western universities offer online study programs and there is an abundance of various certificates you can take online. I was considering long-distance education programs offered by British unis, but  unfortunately I have no 10k GBP to spare. Do you know any valuable courses/study programs that won't drain my pocket (can be management of something of this kind) I can take online? Can be either Chinese or foreign (price matters).

MOOC's

Hotwater:

From what I've seen a lot of these courses are great but my understanding is they don't lead to certified qualifications at the end of them and in most countries those pieces of paper are required for jobs, work permits, etc.

MOOC's are great to get a taster for degree courses, and they can be done with only a time commitment.

Some Universities offer MOOC's as gate into their degree course.

Chinese citizens can't take online classes from China, at least in the US. Sorry

I really don't know, but I find it funny when he always calls me a Chinese when his own answers seem to prove that he: didn't understand the question/has nothing else to say except from showing his poor manners.

There are a LOT of options out there for you., and a LOT of price ranges.

The question you need to ask yourself first is - what do you want to get out of it? If you want a legitimate qualification, then you will have to pay for it at some point, and 10,000GBP might be cheap! (and, an amount you can get back, depending on your field and qualification). If you're looking at qualification, make sure the university you end up going with is accredited, and recognised internationally. Many online courses/universities, particularly in the US are not really accredited, and isn't worth the money you'll pay - even if it's dirt cheap!

If you just want to keep the mind moving along, then there's MOOC, as Blondie suggested, Khan's Academy (for things you may not have done at school), and a whole host of other options.

Thanks a lot for your constructive answer.
