Foreigner of the non-exotic-we-hate-your-gov't-policy variety.
Expects higher salary than many Chinese get.
No special skills.
Male.
Needs legal visa.

I'm not a fan of pinoys, but you seem to need a reality check here. Read what I say carefully:
There is currently no legal way for him to work on the correct visa.
There is no legal job that can give him legal pay and supply a legal visa.

If you didn't understand what I meant, mr. Aguinaldo needs a smarter GF.

coineineagh:

If you're hell-bent on that legal visa, he might consider being a male au pair for a Chinese family. Male au pairs have been known to be hired, even preferred by some. Don't expect much salary, but at least he will be helping a kid to learn English better than 2 hours/week with a teacher does.

RandomGuy:

In China au pairs are seen more like modern slaves than helpers. The idea behind is "I own you", not "You are here to help the family". Nasty if you ask me.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
