Q: Lung cancer in China
Literally every man I walk past on the street is smoking. These guys must be smoking 40-50 ciggies a day!
Cancer must be rife in this place
Been a smoker 36 years and I'm now making a concerted effort towards being smoke free. For the past year my consumption has gone down from over 15 a day to five. Got my first cigarette out of my mother's handbag. I don't want my kids to start as a result of my example.

Good on you! I also don't want my kids near people smoking. If we are in a public area like a restaurant and people smoke we both comment, they quickly 'lose face' and walk away embarrassed

maTIAn. Get youself some Champix (name varies) The cancer risks doesn't drop (significantly) by going from 15 to 5.
When I stopped, it was super easy.... using thing numbing pharmaceutical. Failed so many times using conventional methods.
They should put the stuff in the drinking water in China
They die, I only saw one guy who was a survivor of lung/ throat cancer. I've had many students tell me that their dads have cancer and sadly they all died after a few years. It really sucks.
yeah,,,, they really seem to like cigarettes here, cant be good for you, but more than once I've seen really old guys puffing away! They looked like they were in their 80's at least,,,, so, I guess it kills some people but not everyone,,, Those cancer research guys should really look into that.
I tried a few times as a kid,,,, luckily I never got into it though. My older sister did though and is still smoking. I worry it's gonna kill her, but I don't say anything. My dad smoked his whole life, I figure smoking was part of what killed him... heart-attack. He was of the 1950's generation and as u know smoking was a big thing in the US back then.

Stroke and heart disease will prevent many from developing cancer. Air pollution and other shit to the resuce
Officially, 48.7% of Chinese men smoke. I like to point out to whoever is smoking near me that tobacco is used by the poor and/or uneducated. Of course, if you are one of the many teachers here, you are aware that mainlanders neither listen nor learn from mistakes.
Iv found even if you embarrass them or tell them to stop, the next day they will be there doing it again...
its because other people are too cowardly to stand up for what's right. If more people told them to stop smoking inside, for example, maybe it would make a difference but unfortunately people do nothing about anything here.
