Q: Luzhou Laojiao 泸州老窖, what is it like?

Can anyone recommend a good brand of this beverage?  I have never tried it, but I understand there are many flavours and colours, and different regions have their own version.  If you know of any other liquors that aren't distilled but are worth a try, or are good for cooking, please post a reply.

Is there anything similar to Soju? Something with an alcohol content of between 10-20%?

Hotwater:

Never tried Soju so can't compare. If you're looking for a "weak" Chinese "wine" then try the Hakka Huangjiu (yellow wine). That's not a bad taste and only about 15%
