I doubt it, who can milk a pig and they don't have an udder. If anything else is used, it's most likely cat's milk, cats are easy to catch and milk.

Why do you think this might be the case?

on the one hand, milking anything other tan a cow is a waste ofadditional effort for meager returns. on the other hand, some locals dont think straight and seem to have a predisposition to deceptions. some idiot might be doing it.
in reality, pigs milk might not seem appetizing, but its milk all the same.

Scandinavian:

goats, sheep, horses are almost as easy to milk, the output is probably less per animal per day, but could be done. But it would be a more expensive product than good old bovine juice.

My guess is that "fresh" milk available here is just processed water and milk powder.

icnif77:

You're right!

I was buying cow's milk from farmers on outside market in Fuk., Xinjiang, boiling it, and mix it with some yogurt.

In few days I would have yogurt, but thing would stick to the spoon similar to very thick spit.

I've never seen yogurt 'behave' the same, so I was guessing farmers probably mixed some cow's milk with powder milk and water. M(b)astards!

Having suffered substantial losses in recent years through the melamine incident, what motivation would there be for companies like Mengniu and Yili to do such a thing when the returns would be a comparative pittance? Even by Chinese standards, it would be absurd to try such a stunt. There again, I suppose China is China and anything is possible?

I don't know where the milk comes from, big commercial farms with a lot of cows, or a lot of  small farms with just a handful of cows.

If it comes from big farms which seems likely to me, then they would likely have milking machines which are designed for cows teats, not pigs. I don't think they would fit on a pig. I can't see a huge farm hand milking a couple of pigs (if it's even possible) just for an extra few gallons of milk to sell.

If they source the milk from small places that hand milk their animals I guess it's possible the farmer could be tempted to add pigs milk to boost his milk sales, but I don't think it's very likely, I'm pretty sure milking a pig wouldn't be as easy as milking a cow.

Commercial milk may contain pig's urine for all you know, there are literally no rules.

Kaiwen:

Of course there are rules and regulations. There are those that choose to ignore rules and regulations but I can assure you that they do exist - even in China!

Aren't there bars that serve women's milk? I wouldn't mind opening one. I'd be very happy to get up early to milk the herd.
