This website is not fake.  It is very professional and updated regularly.  I have applied for many jobs on this site and had interviews. However, recently, not.  You have to be aware that there is external government interference from foreigners' native countries, affecting all foreigners who want to work in China with the Chinese.

The problem I have with this site is that sometimes the recruiters do not understand the profession I work in, cannot assess my skills well and come across as petulant.  I think they are learning these ways of relating from young native Americans and British teachers, as mature, experienced teachers do not behave this way.

Especially for positions in China, recruiters might prioritize candidates with experience or familiarity with the local market or language skills that might not be immediately clear on your application.

7. Competition with Native Speakers

For roles requiring strong communication skills in English, recruiters may prioritize native speakers, even if the position is open to non-native speakers. This can result in fewer responses for non-native applicants.

8. Recruiter Prioritization of Internal Candidates

Sometimes, recruiters give preference to internal applicants or candidates referred by employees, which can lead to fewer opportunities for external candidates to get noticed.

Tips for Increasing Your Chances of a Response:

• Tailor your resume and cover letter for each application to closely match the job requirements.
• Use keywords from the job description to optimize for ATS software.
• Follow up on your application with a polite email after a week or two to express continued interest.
• Network with people in your industry who may be able to refer you directly to recruiters or hiring managers.
• Make sure your LinkedIn profile is updated, as recruiters often check it before reaching out.

Improving your application strategy can increase your chances of getting a response, even if recruiters don’t reply to every applicant.
