Merry Christmas to expat of happiness. Thank you for spreading your Christmas cheer and the sound advice. I was contemplating whether to drive to a party tonight, but decided against it as I'm sure I will be very inebriated. wink

No.

There is no Christmas in Changshu.
No christmas parties, no edible food in a "western" "restaurant", and nothing in the stores to enable me to make a halfway passable christmas meal. So... No.

Thanks mate, the same to you too.

I'm going out for a few snorts with my mate tonight.  It's called pi jiu, kaorou nite.  Suck on warm bottles of cat piss and chomp on a few skewers of spicy lamb fat.  Nothing else to do here.  Actually at this time of the year only the first bottle is warm.  A few minutes out on the joint's front step will bloody near freeze the next bottle.  And so on and so on.

And I've just downloaded a 3 disc set of the best Xmas tunes of all time to listen to when I get home later on.  Got a dozen or so big cans in the fridge waiting.  Reckon I'll push on till tmoro.
Ho ho ho....!

Merry Christmas. Sorry to hear that Spiderboenz.

I'm back in my home country sucking down 3 and a half inch thick ribeye steaks while swilling back some seriously good pinot noir. It's also summer here - so maybe a swim and some fishing tomorrow. I'll be gazing upon the murky skies of china again in 3 weeks or so. Until then it's party time. Merry Christmas everyone!

I ran into Santa Clause about a week ago -  He was  in town updating his information on the cityscape here to avoid possible collisions with his reindeer and skyscrapers on the bight night. The skyline changes so fast that data will be outdated every year.

I had a chance to ask him about the CFTU, real or fake -  He just laughed and said he doesn't believe in the CFTU and that's the stuff that little kids believe in.....

I'm looking forward to short Camden's stay, before I return to Henan in two weeks.

There might be a slight delay this year.

His sleigh had an unexpected collision with an e-bike outside the bar I am drinking in. Crash bang wallop. We all rushed outside.

Seems Santa has no insurance or even a Z visa.

I am talking to the Lapland consulate now.

The PSB officers are insisting he must be from North Korea, because he is so magical and mysterious.

For God's sake, where is the local CFTU rep when you need him?

If only Santa had been reading this site. Or even his elves. FFS Santa, you only have a tourist visa.

Ha ha. Have a good one. Cheers all wink
