Mine is getting a half day off (afternoon) so we can go to a mates place for crimbo dinner. My wife was lectured to about the evils of Crimbo, but a half day off is a good result. How about you?

Did your school in the UK give the foreigner kids the day off on Eid, Diwali, Hanukkah? Think about it...

My daughter is a buddhist jew who prays to Allah. likes Santa, believes in baby Jesus, and is currently studying hinduism. That should get her out of school :-)

.. and if you demand off for your holidays, you should ask to work for Chinese October's week long stay-in-bed ... days.

I am not against foreign kids in foreign lands getting culture specific holidays. I aint one of these 'gotta integrate' right wingers.
I just took my daughter out of school and did not ask anybody including the wife, if I can't get my way one day a year and they feed my kid that lousy shitty porridge everyday and I have to put up with open windows and selfish inconsiderate people everyday and I can't have my way one day a year, Go pound sand.
my son is spending the day with me,my wife has to work I dont need to.
