Q: My laptop has been invaded by nasty softwares....

So last week I've been subject to an invasion from Chineses Software on my computer.

I have a DELL laptop, that I bought in Canada, and I gave it to a local repair shop to repair the keyboard and install windows 7 again. When I got it, it was fine, but few days later, I start noticing new software installing without my permission. These software are either Chinese video software(爱奇艺万能播放器), a Chinese anti-virus, entertainment software such as IQIY,etc.

Funny thing, is that these software are really stubborn, when I change my videos to open with VLC automatically, as soon as I restart my laptop, the Chinese software take on lol

It reminded me of Microsoft software in 95, when they forced you to buy all their software with new computers.

Anyone knows why is that happening? did you have similar experiences after installing a Chinese software?

go to a torrent website and get a clean english copy of windows 7 (www.1337x.to) burn the iso to a disk and install it to your computer and wipe out everything.

If anyone puts 360 virus software on your computer, beat them over the head with the computer until you put them in the hospital and then buy a new computer.

360 virus software and file maintenance is nothing but spybots. My 10th grade class put 360 on my class computer for the third time after telling them "no", I threw the computer out the third floor window and gave the class monitor 3000 rmb to buy another one. if you load 360, i will throw that one out the window also. Nobody does that anymore. My Chinese wife knows putting Chinese software on any of personal laptops will result in a divorce the very next business day. NO EXCUSES, if your computer does not work buy one , hell buy ten of them, but don't touch my English only working computer.

The biggest problem if you do not know them is changing out your good parts and giving you slower or older parts in your computer. Sometimes a new computer processor will be switched and you get the slower one they want to upgrade for themselves. Never let them work on it with out you watching everything they do.

Also get a remote wifi usb wireless keyboard and mouse, logitech, 158 rmb at walmart for your laptop and the laptop will last longer, i never use the keyboard and mouse on my laptops and they look new after 10 years. I have an 8 year old dell here that i can't get anyone to change the fan, dirt and pollution in China, will destroy a fan, it's still in the closet because no one wants to fix it but they want to sell me a new one or they want to keep it overnight and I don't know if I will get everything back the way i want it.

Stiggs:

I feel the same way about people installing Chinese software on my computer.

A few years ago my girlfriend put QQ on my computer ( does anyone still use that ? ) and from then on I had problems with it. There were always popup windows in Chinese, crap going on in the background and slowing it down, when I did the weekly virus and malware scans I had the same warnings showing up with QQ being the source and I couldn't get of them. She refused to accept that QQ was the source of all the problems. I've seen the same thing happen with office computers and you always get the same refusal to believe that all the crap that gets downloaded from sketchy websites is wrecking the computer.

Now I don't let anyone use my computer, and when there are hurt feelings so be it.
