Q: My precious motor and the three little pigs

Sounds like a terrible book, huh.

Well, I will get to my question.  I just purchased last month a new gas Kymco bike, but my friends keep warning me about the cops and make it seem like the only thing they are doing is standing out on the corners of busy intersections looking for foreigners bikes to take.  I'm not saying they are or they are not, but i live in a busy part of the city and I have stopped on streets and the cops just look at me and wave and smile, so whats really the deal?  Any tips also for me or comments, thanks everyone!  Tongue

Is the bike licensed? I know cops seize bike with no plates. Just smile when you see cops. I had a cop give me the eye one day and i smiled at him and he smiled back, just a normal response.

TedDBayer:

What motor? The 150cc is probably a copy of Honda GY6. I've been looking at these. There are alot of speed parts. I'm back home, was going to buy an electric scooter, but bought a gas one. I changed the variator (pulley). The scooter is faster and gets more top end. Changing the weights-lighter in the pulley makes it faster off the line. Add a CDI box, change exhaust and maybe a rejet in the carb or carb change.

The Chinese guys do it. There are mods for electric bikes also, add an extra battery, rewire the throttle. The gears can be changed.

Oh forgot that part, no the bike is not licensed, no plates and I have no Chinese drivers license or plan on getting any.  The bike is a brand new Kymco 110cc, and as long as I am here i plan on modding it too, why not?

TedDBayer:

if its not licensed the cops can seize it, ask the dealer, sometimes they can arrange registering it, no license,, hey sorry I'm testing it. A different variator and lighter weights, ( asuming you don't weight 100lbs), the variators can be bought on line, but do research on which ones work.
