Last Monday I had some trouble with my bum (wont go into the messy details)but it was enough to give a good fright and be concerned.
I was a little bit stupid and did not say anything to my wife until Wednesday,Thursday we went to the hospital got a number sat down and waited to see the doctor.
our number came up went and saw the doctor told her what was going on and she said you will need a colonoscopy,I had to go and get my heart checked(my heart is good)then go and pick up the medicine that I need to clean my body out.
I was booked in for Tuesday 3rd of April at 2 pm.
In the morning I drank the medicine they gave me and about an hour later everything started coming out.my wife and I arrived at the hospital at 1.30pm as I was booked in at 2 pm along with about 6 other people.
The nurses and the doctors were FANTASTIC they made me feel comfortable, this was the 1st time I have ever had this done and I was very nervous. The hospital was clean and nurses and doctors were very helpful.
after I woke up I got given the results we went back to see the doctor and YAHOO YAHOO nothing was wrong no cancer or anything like that,it was a hemroid.
the experience of going to this Chinese hospital is a positive one.it cost all up about 600rmb which I can claim back on insurance.
I feel what I went through is kinda life changing in some way because the result could have been different
That's great news mate.
Just out of academic interest, what was the foreign object they removed from your arse?
And should we expect to see the pics on wechat news soon (like the guy with the glass ball recently).
On a side note, in this city we've seen published news of a guy who had his knob caught in a 3/8 ring spanner and my all time favourite of a guy who put too many TCM magnets on his ball sack and couldn't remove them. The police and ambulance had no luck too. The firefighters brought in The Jaws of Life to get these super powered magnets off. The news photos were priceless. I wonder if those dudes still live here?
I've also been in China hospitals. Even fkn surgery damn good treatment all the way around. not a complaint.
Glad to hear that it turned out well for you mate.
Me, too ....
'Stay Away from the Hospitals and MDs as Much as You Can!'
Nobody, wrote any best wishes ... and I ...
All the best to You and your Ass, Rob ....
Glad to know they treat assholes and don't discriminate, I was not sure if they would let me in the building. Good to know

Glad to hear your bum's ok mate.
The problem with things like that is after it turns out ok you end up being the butt of everyone's jokes which can be a pain in the arse. Bummer.
Stiggs:
Stupid puns aside, I can relate to it being a life changing thing.
I had a cancer scare once. It wasn't cancer but I did a bit of reading and convinced myself it was and that they would start chopping things off a bloke if I went to the doctor. That wasn't an option for me so I decided I was going to let it kill me and didn't do anything about it for well over a year. I was in a bit of a dark place at the time.
I eventually had to do a full medical for something else I was doing and they picked it up, looked into it and it turned out to be nothing, just a cyst.
I felt like I'd been released from death row or something.
Good story.
I still can't get over getting an appointment time, arriving at the hospital at the appointed time, and...wait for it...having to take a number and wait another hour.
That's actually very common in the world, 2012 had one. Glad to hear all is well for you for in Shenzhen still.
I have had piles for years.... my piles are bigger than yours.... my piles are Trump size.
But the little brown tube with the nozzle sorts them out.
Everyone on the forum is with you Rob. We all know your story.
And we just wish we could fucking do something to help. You are probably the most liked person on this forum.
I am on holiday tomorrow. Would it help if I went to SZ tomorrow and helped to stick the medicine tube up your arse. I would consider it an honor.
Stiggs:
Someone told me once the only good thing about his piles was that everyone got to joke about them, him included - after it turned out he only had piles and not something major of course.
I wonder what it is about arses, the natural reaction seems to be to crack lame jokes about them when you wouldn't bother otherwise.
Had a mate got bitten by a dog once, right on the buttock. If it was a leg or arm nobody would be making jokes but when we were sitting around drinking beers later in the week and he was talking about it of course the jokes come out.
I had a mild heart attack last month. As a result, I had to have a stent put into one of my arteries. Besides having to wait 10 days to get a CT scan (I am not sure why), everything else was above par with treatment and procedure. Cost was stupidly inexpensive compared to the USA. I trusted my life to the doctors and nurses of a tier 3 city and had a successful experience. I will say that there are significant differences between American and Chinese hospitals and the services they provide. Overall, I was give them two thumbs up.
Oh, as a side note, I may have received a little extra special treatment since I am a foreigner, but the treatment the other patients received was just as good.
