I have too get a new pass port because I want to work in china this summer  but I do not have a lot of money so I am not shore if I should go with the express route or let it take as long as it needs. What do you think I should do and should I use a service for it and if so what service. I need my pass port so I can get my visa to work over the summer.

Ok aganst my better judgement I will give you a fair dinkum answer.
First you will need a job to go to in China.
a letter of employment from said company.
get a work visa (z)
Dont turn up on a tourist visa as you cant work on it and if you get caught  working  and you will you will not be allowed back in the near future.
secondly check out the company you will work for.
Im guessing English teacher.
heaps of them here and they will tell you staight up who to stay clear of.
dont leave anything to chance or to the last minute.
good luck

thank you for your answer but every thing you just told me i know i said i need a job to get a visa that is why i need a pass port so i can work. though thank you for the advice about how fast to apply.

ok now Im confused you claim to be a US citizen and have had a passport prior. Summer in China heats up in a couple of months yet depending on where you want to go. surley a passport only takes a couple of weeks even in the land of the slow. and any employer in China will want your passport details before thinking about hireing you.

i am u.s.a citizen and if you look on the site goes by priority so it can take a long time a u.s.a citizen would know that. i could maybe get it in like a day but that cost a lot and i said i do not have a lot of money. that is why i asked the question read the question before you answer.

Oh, sounds like you mean a 'passport'.... JiLiu... if you're not drunk, and haven't had your account hacked - do NOT come here to pretend to teach. You'll give us all a bad name!!! You're English is HORRENDOUS! (that's a word that means 'really really bad'...) Besides, it's CHINESE LAW that you have a Bachelor's degree to teach in China!

If you're only 19, and you're having trouble deciding what to do with your passport...good luck. You'll only be able to work at some kind of training school anyway, even if you weren't going just for the summer. I pity any future student of yours.

I hope you bring a chaperone with you. They don't allow terrorists, children, drug abusers and the mentally disabled to ride in elevators without one. I've seen the signs.

As far as your *pass port* goes... apply quickly. If you are 19, and need a renewal, your current one is a juvey passport, you have to go through the procedure as if it were your first time. Virgin in more ways than one.

If you want your passport sooner than later, use the money you should be using for an education and pay for the expedited service.

It doesn't take that .long to get your passport renewed. You can express the service through an agent in your home country. As for everyone saying about your future and your students well I've seen doctor degree teachers who shouldn't have a teaching job let alone a job at all.

What can you do? I can read a book. Congradulations now get the hell out of here.

Do what needs to be done, just don't overstay your visa for longer than 90 days and you'll be fine

Jíliú.hé:

thanks but i sand i know about passport and visa services they cost more money that is why asked should just spend more which you just answered.
