I used Switch VPN. You can DL it to as many computers and phones as you want after paying, $45 per year.

Ted, since you left the GFW has got much ballsier, most VPNs are now blocked, if not permanently at least 90% of the time, even the pay for ones.

The only ones I am aware of that still reliably work are those that are downloaded outside China before you come here, are fully encrypted, have multiple IP addresses and can switch between those IPs at regular intervals.

yes, I DL mine before i went. The last message they sent me was that it was down, but should be working in 10 hours. I think the servers were in HK.

EASY HIDE IP you can choose which county to route from. very cheap around 200rmb a year. never had a problem with it anywhere
