Maybe someone here got the full story….I heard on the CCTV news this morning that the Chinese Government changed the laws (don’t know when they will implement it). I didn’t get the full story but its got to do with too many illegal work done by foreigners.
12 years 17 weeks ago in Visa & Legalities - China
You can read it at eChina news, was on yesterday.
Law has not changed yet, it was presented to the Comittee who deals with it for approval. It deals basically with foreigners coming into China and work without a "Z" visa, work permit and residence permit, increases fines to those caught to 5,000 - 20,000 Rmb, and other consequences, even jail time prior to deportation. Also to employers of those working without proper paperwork.
Does this mean no more free visits to the dentist anymore.....I was kind of hoping they would do it later than earlier because I enjoyed watching all the smiling faces in China when they found out they didn't need the qualifications.
