Hi Guys
First , some guys here freaked me out about this record check and other companies that I applied to as well, I used the other companies as a "Visa info test check".
All these companies except for the company I am going to told me: "YOU NEED A FBI or STATE DEPARTMENT NONE CRIMINAL RECORD CHECK", YOU MUST!
So that freaked the hell out of me. My Visa ends late July no time to prepare and mail finger prints back home.
So I went to the SAFEA & FEC office, whatever we call it today in Shenzhen, Futian and I gave them my Chinese non criminal record check, I handed them my visa, and married book also & ASKED: Hey can I use this Chinese non criminal record check? I don't wanna go home and start over again and use a Q while job hoping to HK, I said please tell me the truth can I use this or do I need a FBI check??????????
Answer: YES, you can use your Non Criminal Chinese Check because you've worked for many years in China. No need for your FBI because you are changing jobs, not a new worker coming to China.
So Guys, I speak for Shenzhen only, as for you, get off your chair and go and ask them yourself. Your school won't know anything forsure. DON'T listen to your school if you are changing jobs and they say you need an FBI, you just need to have been here a year, thats all. I don't care if its EF telling you they need your FBI, still check at the SAFEA office yourself, I proved to all of these companies on my wechat they were wrong! And their reply was: Wow thank God.
Let this be a lesson to all of us, new policy, new rules? Go ask directly, don't depend on the lazy new company you are moving to!
Now I can't speak for Z visa teachers moving to non Z visa teaching jobs, like a teacher becomes an engineer, the Z visa isn't the same, I don't think it would be a problem, but check.
I'm rewarding myself to a Coffee. I hope others have the heart to tell us what they did and know.

Yeah, it's kinda weird,,, I'm changing schools, cities, but not employer. They are talking something about a criminal records background check.. haha,, kind of trips me out. Look at your own records visa people,, I've been in China the past 10 years. I had that check done already. Why the fk do it again? You want me to fly to the US and go thru hell with the pain-in-the-ass governmental agencies? Yeah, I've lived here a long time,,, governments are fkn weird. Guess I'll be trippin' down to CamboLand or Myanmar.

Logic is just not on list for visa's, I'm sure you won't have to get one from home, just makesure you're the one who walks in and asks.

If you haven't left China for a significant amount of time since your last criminal background check you should be able to use it again if you get it authenticated. I'd take it to your local SAFEA and ask them if they'll accept it if you get it authenticated.
The key here is that you havn't left China for more than a short visit home since you got the last one.

SAFEA kept all of ours back in 2009 when a group us started to work at Wall Street English. I'm not sure they'll give you back the authenticated non criminal record these days, as I said this is my first transfer to a new company. @MangoEsl
Get the FBI check to ensure no problems

Good advice for those who have visa renewals in August, doesn't hurt to be ready. In my case I simply lucked out with the SAFEA having common sense which is rare. But you'll be ok either way.
