Q: Non-travelers, did you do anything worthwhile over the CNY holiday?

I'd be thinking about going on a day trip outside of the city to see some Lantern Festival, but that did not end up happening. Instead, I went out a bunch, did some biking on Beijing's empty streets and watched Battlestar Galactica whilst recovering from numerous hang overs. Best week ever! (sarcasm intended)

Stayed in Beijing and enjoyed the fresh(ish) air and the peace and quiet. It seemed like a livable city for once!

First of all the Lantern Festival hasn't arrived yet as it's on the 15th of the first lunar month, so unless you time traveled, you mean Spring Festival.

I did nothing. Slept a lot which really f*cked me up today having to get up early.

Business as usual but with less noise during daytime and a lot more during nighttime (when will the fireworks end) We were supposed to have traveled but had to cancel due to unforeseen events.

We will go visit the family in one of the next weekends, should be comparatively hassle free.
