Watched a Pundit on PBS Newshour and he said NK wants direct investment from the US.

I suspect McMaster was telling Trump that war to improve poll ratings was not a good idea. Innocent ppl die and all that.
Bolton will be all for it however. He gets stiffies over nukes and MOABS.
Lets call it death by ego.
Englteachted:
You're being simple minded, Trump never intended to go to war, same as Fatty Kim. Fatty Kim more than anything to not be invaded. Trump was just being a loud mouth
ambivalentmace:
A war with China would get lots of votes, a war with the pillsbury dough boy, not so much.
If they want to be the next China, getting investment from the U.S and all that they sure have a strange way of going about it.
I could see NK becoming the next Iraq before they become the next China.
Englteachted:
A major contributor? How? He didn't start working for Bush until 2005, 2 years after.
Hotwater:
Ted, from Wikipedia
“During the George W. Bush administration, Bolton served as the Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security(2001–2005) and the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations (2005–2006).”
his Bush career started in 2001
Englteachted:
What position? Was he involved in intelligence gathering? Was he involved in the decision making? Was he involved in selling the story to the public/ UN?
ambivalentmace:
If Ben Shapiro does not think he is a war hawk, then he is OK with me.
RandomGuy:
No risk of them becoming the next Irak, there is no oil in North Korea, what would the US do there?
I saw a news article that because two Koreas will meet might stop the Kim and Trump meeting. We'll see.

SEOUL — The rival Koreas have agreed to hold high-level talks this week to prepare for an April summit between North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and South Korean President Moon Jae-in, South Korea said Saturday. The summit aims to improve relations and resolve the standoff over the North’s nuclear program. Unification Minister Cho Myoung-gyon will lead the South’s delegation at the meeting Thursday in Panmunjom.
So many folk against Bush gettin' ol Saddam. I never could understand that,,,,, seems Iraq is better off without the Hussein's in power. What did I miss?
WMD's? yep, Sadman had.
Is it any other countries biz to fix another? No. But if they do, sometimes it works out for the better. Yes, Lives and Treasure are expended. Yes, children die. Not much is perfect in our existence.
I see Fat Boy Kim fired up the Tour Train and played Beijing to a sell out crowd
Dis Kim could make the DPRK into a system similar to China but with more of the secret police and killin's and all that. Why doesn't he do that after he's got confirmation from his nukes that the big o' Donald won't go and make a saddam out of him?
