Q: Not used entries from past tourist visa are still valid?

I have a question, last year I entered China with a tourism visa (2 entries, 60days each stay).Instead of leaving China after 60days and come back, I extended my tourism visa for 30days in China. Means I still have one entry for 60days. But is this still valid or not?

Hello Anony. According to what you wrote, your visa expired in March at the lastest , but probably earlier and you are illegally staying.

Last year? in Dec? stay 60 days, extend 30 days, you had to exit in March, ,,, did you? if you stayed another 60 days, your visa expired in May at the latest but you never made an exit, so you are in dodo.

Of course. You can even use entries from visas of other countries if you like. Or you can exchange them for miles at the airport.

Reveal yourself and I'll tell you how no

Actually, how does it work if you extend an L visa in China. Do they put another visa in your passport?

It's something I have never done.

I think they just stamp it.

You do not extend the "L" visa, the extension you get is for the "stay" portion of it.  If you are given a 60 days stay on your visa originally, and later get a 3 days extension, for that particular entry you now have 90 days in China, but the "validity" period of the visa remains the same.
