Q: Opening a bank account in Beijing

How easy is it to open a bank account in China (Beijing specifically) and which documents are needed?
Is it preferable to have a Chinese speaking person with me when opening the aforementioned account?

Or can anyone recommend a bank in Beijing which specialises in foreign customers.

Go to a Big branch and sure there will be English speaking people. You need your passport and you prove of residence (in some cases).
Its easy and no red tape... good banks are Bank of China or ICBC
