The semi final games are being shown at 4 am-ish here.  Since there are fewer games, they're being broadcast in the later slot, which is probably a better broadcast time in Brazil.

Yup, there on at 4 now. Its a evening broadcast time for Brazil and America.  Also, who watches on CCTV 5?  Arent HD channels free now? ( btw, i have no idea what i pay for cable)

But the difference between CCTV5 and CCTV5+  is night and day.  Start search in the 300's channels.  You might find a nice surprise.

royceH:

I don't have any channels up in that range.  Does that mean I don't have cable?

I might check it out if you can recommend it.  What's on that's worth watching?

I dont know how it works, so im not sure if you have the full cable or not hahaha. But there should be around 30 HD channels. CCTV 5HD and CCTV5+ the first is mostly just regular cctv5 but much better quality. The second is much more international, hockey ( a wierdly large amount) baseball, tennis. Billiards. Its quite a good channel and you can always use more sports channels. I highly doubt it because of where you are, but you can also ask a cable provider if they have any foreign channels. I have star world sports. Espn and fox sports. ( alot of aussie football and rugby) plus other channels, hbo showtime, cnn, bbc, its worth it to ask man.

Nope, no sports channels out of Hong Kong. Just a regular chinese cable and internet provider. But better than satellite as its legal and there not gonna change the signal and pull a runner on you. Ill try to find the website and see if its in multiple cities or just shenzhen.

The scoreline smacks of something's rotten in Denmark.

4 goals in 6 minutes....doesn't seem right.

Hup Holland Hup. Laat de leeuw niet in z'n hempie staan!
They're doing exceptinally well this tournament. Odds are against them, but with a genius coach and no small amount of luck, who knows. I just wish I could have seen the matches instead of reading FIFA.com

Why not?  No tv?

They replay the games from about 9am every day.  But the trick is not to be watching before the replay begins as they show the final scores.  After the replay begins, no worries.  At least for me because I don't understand a single word they say.

If you don't have access to any of the above TV channels (or a TV for that matter) all of the World Cup matches can still be watched online. You can stream all matches from CCTV5 on http://worldcup.cntv.cn/2014/. Will be watching the Netherlands vs Argentina there tonight.

I used to do a bit of work in technical support as well. So I have a few ideas on how to solve basic technical problems like that.
