Q: Other than taobao, where can I get halloween stuff in Beijing?

I know the obvious answer is to go on taobao, but I don't have online banking and don't want to bother friends who do again. So any suggestions? I don't just want scary stuff either.

Try Walmart or Carrefour, both carry Christmas decorations in advance, and i have seen some Hallowe'en decorations there.

Make it!

Or find a picture of what you want and get it tailored. For last year we had all our snow white and seven dwarf costume tailor made. It wasn't that pricey, and it seemed to make the day of our tailor.

In Beijing many malls and stores are getting in on the Halloween action. From Western import supermarkets to popular expat markets like Yashow, it's getting much easier to find masks, wigs, costumes and face paints nowadays. Not sure about the situation in smaller cities though.
