Q: Parking - Multiple tickets and wheel clamps?

Considering if we should become a car owning household a couple of questions regarding parking (as the parking basement seems to be pricey and highly occupied)

1. If I get a parking ticket, will the parking guard add another ticket next time he passes the car or will he leave it at one ticket (assuming the car is not moved)

2. Does Chinese parking fascists use wheel clamps ?

Don't know about the multiple tickets but I've seen wheel clamps used as an anti theft device in Yueyang. Owners lock their cars down so it's not towable. Actually, it's quite effective.

I recently read an article (I think on this website) about a car that had multiple parking tickets on it that was discovered with a body in it as yet another parking ticket was being applied.

I recently (in the last 10 years) have lived in Fort St John ...  where the streets are not all paved... and you park wherever you damned well please... either side of the road..out of the way is good if you don't want a big truck to "move" your vehicle ...... then I moved south to Kamloops for a couple years....I hate the parking police in Kamloops....I parked very normally, always do.... but I was getting a ticket a month.... parking meters and over zealous meter "maids" are a  real pain in the ass.

sorry ..small town BC boy ....  I enjoy a "free for all" .. first come first serve...  and take it as it comes..... no violence please.

personally.....I would never drive/own a car here ... i like to drive.. but the potential for disastrous consequences for a minor incident are just too big for me to accept. things like getting booted out of the country... or big fines come to mind......  take a taxi...tuk-tuk...bus ..train....plane .............. don't drive
