Q: People in Beijing - is the Tianyi market a good place for Christmas supply shopping?

I've heard some good and some bad about this place. Anyone living in Beijing care to weigh in?

Actually, i'd suggest the 'Children's island' behind the Hongqiao market. It's full of everything and anything you may need for Xmas but bargain like crazy...

I think Tianyi is the land of cheap, bad quality stuff. I wouldn't recommend it as a place to get good presents for family members. A lot of it is fake, or a I already said, terrible quality. I think it's good if you want to buy little knick knacks for your flat that you don't mind throwing away or leaving behind when you move away from China.
