Q: Phone company scam?

I turn off my 3G when I do not need it for security reasons (I work in a high-tech industry where IP theft is a problem). But every few days I notice that the 3G turned itself back on and downloaded a lot of promo offers automatically on my dime without my consent.  I delete them all including the "push messages". Is anyone else having this problem? I already switched to a "dumb phone" for work but I miss my Galaxy S5. These downloads are eating up my allotment.

Turn off Mobile Data. Also, go to Application manager and turn off background update for all those apps that you don't need. Leaving them on means it will automatically update even when you sleep. Most of the Galaxy range appear to have this problem.
