Q: Police visa check in Beijing?
I will be applying for a Z Visa soon, after a few years on a marriage visa, and will need a police check. As I have been living in Beijing for over 10 years, I hope I can do that here.
I've heard this is possible: that if you've been living here a long time, you can get a police check for your time in Beijing and that will be enough to apply for the Z visa. I can't find confirmation of this, or details of where to go.
can anyone out there help?

A police check from what country?
Edit to add. Sorry, You want a Chinese police check?
Never heard of that. One from your home country should be ok. After all, if you had a police record in China you probably would not have been here ten years.
How long have you been married, I thought you could Apply for a D visa (Chinese Green card)
I know what you mean about the police checks..This is a standard requirement and I don't think they'll let you use your time in China or a PSB police check, they want to see your history from your home country.. In their minds you could have been a Division operative working along with Nikita to destroy the world when you were 18 years old and now here you are in China...
So Yeah I'm sure you'll need a FBI or a normal security check from your home country..
Why did you stop the marriage visa's? Just wondering, some people are saying they needed to leave to get a Q visa now.
I'm from the UK.
Getting a Chinese "green card" would be an option, but it takes a long time and I'm not guaranteed to get one. Marriage visa is still possible, but I need to earn some money now...
Getting a police check from the UK is possible, but a bit of a hassle. If it's possible in Beijing (as I said, I've heard rumours it can be done....) that would also speed things up.
I may soon be in the same boat!!
I'm an Aussie, and with many good ESL jobs in China these days you will have to submit a Police Report (about bloody time too !) however, apparently the Aust Fed Police will not issue one if you have not lived in the country for 10 yrs, which includes me.
Someone did say the same..i.e. get a Police Check from Beijing.
Not sure...
