Q: Pope Francis says wasting food is like stealing from the poor

Are each side of the comparison equivalent to winning face in China?

EDIT: I meant Francis as in Pope Francis, sorry

Wait a minute... I think I got it.  Francis was also (when he wasn't an ass) a saint, right?  St. Francis!  Although his real name was Francesco, but all his friends called him Frank except when he got really drunk and insisted his mates call him "Fritz."  Geez, what a guy!

Did a little research on Francis.  And my hunch was correct...  The dude was from ASSisi.  So Phil, you were on it like a tick on a deer, weren't you?  You sly devil you.

When I was a kid,, it was eat your food,, there are millions of staving people in China,,,, when I got older I realized that you get hungry half an hour after eating Chinese food, so no wonder the Chinese are staving.

t91camp:

I was legitimately told this, just without the Chinese food part. I do wonder about the origins of "Chinese people are starving, so...", because that's certainly not the case now. I've seen little emperors who weigh as much as three children, easily. Is it a relic from Mao's famine?

Is this the leader of the Church that says homosexuality is unnatural while insisting all it's priests are celibate?

t91camp:

I upvoted because I don't like people pretending their religion isn't harmful.

But it's okay, little kids aren't full people yet, so they can do whatever they want to them - no biggie! And if they get caught, they'll just be summoned by the almighty narcissist in the sky to come live in the Vatican. smiley

All the zealots come out of hiding every time someone says anything even remotely anti-religious around here. It's pretty amusing to me that there are so many religiously sensitive (Christian?) people on this forum, considering how religiously insensitive China is!
