What, you want to know all the popular bars and clubs in Beijing? That's a bit of a mission dude because there are many, many, many. Where to start? I guess it really depends on what you're into, bands? djs? cocktails? beer? wine? bars with outdoor seating? Maybe you can narrow down your criteria first.

Depends on how much moola you got...if you're loaded, head down to Sanlitun. Otherwise, Wudaokou has some cheaper places, as it's mostly foreign students and teachers living there.

Cheapest beer is probably at Helen's...lots of other clubs and bars around there as well.

I think a couple of Beijing's hutong bars are worth mentioning. Namely Amilal, El Nido and Mao Mao Chong. These are great bars, nestled away from the main street and they all have their own creative atmosphere.

I think Haze has become the new 'go to' club in Beijing. Founded by the masterminds behind White Rabbit, it's the best place for fans of electroninc music and those generally lookng to party in the wee hours.

Near the Solana Mall area they have a place called Suzy WOng's and a Hukkau Bar not sure if I spelled that right. So if you want to find a good bar and a good club at the same time that is not so far go there....the Hukkau joint is in the back you have to work through a narrow path to get there but the Suzy WOn'gs place is huge you won't miss it!

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
