Q: problem in getting a job or study admission because of my nationality ?
I contacted some universities and they rejected me because I am middle eastern , they said WE ONLY ACCEPT STUDENTS FROM EUROPE or they hang up the line when I tell them where I came from ! . Same story about jobs they are willing to hire me and they don't offer me a visa because "YOU ARE MIDDLE EASTERN WE CANT HELP YOU WITH YOUR VISA" ! I do not want to risk myself by working with F visa, they would leave anyone to work with F visa except me. Middle east has to be a big trouble for police especially in big cities like Shanghai , Suzhou , Guangzhou etc. that's why they might not be interested in having a creature like me.
which city do you recommend for studying Chinese and finding a part time job ? All I want is to find a city where I can work and study Chinese peacefully.

I don't know about part-time jobs, but most of my classmates are from the Middle East, India, Africa and to a lesser extent, Europe. We have people from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Lebanon, United Arab Emirates, India, Turkmenistan, etc.
Again, I'm unaware as to whether or not they're employed. Where are you from?
Mr_spoon:
I had some classmates in the BLCU who were from the middle-east, and working in China.
If that's any help.
Keep trying other universities. You're a potential student who's willing to pay them, so there's that.
My university here has a few students from the Middle-East. And I saw more than a few students from the Middle East at another university.
As for the finding a part-time job problem, students in China are not allowed to work legally. But there are students who find part-time jobs anyway (it's not like you see in American movies where college students are part-time waiters or something like that). You can find a part-time job as an English teacher, or teaching your own language (if there are people interested), freelance translator.
Also, if you're in Guangzhou and are business-minded, you can always look for suppliers of various goods and export to your own country.
Try nantong university in Jiangsu province. Many Indians, Africans and Pakistani students study in the medical campus, they have upwards of 200 foreign students
We have many students from the Middle East & Africa here in Hefei, I don't think they've had problems being enrolled. Many of them hang out with local Chinese students.
