Anyone having problems with them ? I am in Shanghai, I we used them before, it was fine to load "western" webs , later my wife changed to cheaper Unicom, where I lost the speed and connectivity. I suffer for a year and now we changed back.
Problem is, that she say now it was working well only 2 days, and now she can not load some pages within china, some internet banks and so on. I do not know, now I am at work and have to listen to her screaming trough phone. That it is my problem.
And that there is no way to call or ask them for get what we paid for. because the contract say it is for one year, and you can not cancel it. or can, but no refunds. so crazy.
So now, she is angry to me, but she can't went on the Telecom that their service is shit and that you deserve better service. because, this is china and you can not fight for your rights. she gave up this. only way is to blame me forever ...
vent out, and now the quest again ? have anyone problems with CT ?

Hi there, I had a very low speed internet so I decided to contract the 200 Mpbs download and 20 Mbps upload service...
After some days, I see the speed using the China Telecom speed test and I find I have around 20 Mpbs and I ask them to bring me a maintance person to check what is the problem
The maintenance person came and his solution was... your computer is not good, I said, my computer is not chinese but it is a HP and is 8 months old with last technology
I asked China Telecom to bring me another maintenance person to my apartment and they send me...THE SAME PERSON... OMG
I told him, please tell me what i should do, same reply, your computer is not good, the internet service is good
I find and paid a private IT person who tells me to buy an external internet card to have the real 200 Mbps, I buy this and the internet speed rises but it is still less than 30 Mpbs, I contact the call center and I ask to send me a maintenance person PLEASE DONT BRING ME THE SAME ONE....following day, I open the door and the SAME PERSON...OMG... I call the call center and they tell me it is not their fault...what? It is my fault?
I told them I want to have a formal complaint to the complaint department for this and for making me lose 3 mornings to fix the internet problem... after many calls, one complaint department person tells me it is not their fault...
I contacted the English sales deparment, the English call center, it seems I am not the first one having this kind of problems, but they dont want to share this information...it seems the sales department or the call center is not China Telecom but other companies working for them
Now I am trying to stop the internet contract and they tell me I have to pay 2 months penalty...
Now my internet checked by their webpage is 14 M...instead of 200M
Is there anyone who is having also same bad service from China Telecom Home Internet?

I got China Mobile, RMB298 for one year. It is bad, but I didn't expect any better for the price and I get to do what I wanted (most of the time). Sometimes it is better to lower your expectations and be pleasantly surprised when things work.
