Q: Is professional hockey worth checking out in China?

I know there is a league, but don't know much about it. I am sick of watching soccer games on TV, and as the new season is coming up I am jonesing for a fix. Who here has seen a Chinese hockey game? Are their fights? I mean, I'l still go if there are no fights.
