Q: A question for the English teachers.

Been teaching for eight years and my students range from 7 to 15. What age do you teach and which online sources do you find most useful for which age group? Also, do you use any resource books? I've got a few but you can never have too many. Any suggestions, particularly for material that's suitable for young kids aged 7 - 11?

British?

www.britishcouncil.org

There's a learning section on there with a section dedicated for children.  So much available on there.

Also, the BBC has a learning section with even more on, but more of that is blocked here as it is not all for overseas learners.

These days I make all my own Power Points that include all the vocabulary, grammar and all are accompanied by related video clips, cartoons and songs converted to .wmv format so they can be embedded into the PP. I am also now using .gifs to brighten up the presentation even more. I have just taken photos of all my kids and their heads will be used on cartoon figures to add an even more personalised lesson. I am a slave to my creativity but it is fun.

If I told you they were awesome I'd be underselling myself haha!!
