I need a bit of help, I have to teach bunch of adults a English Song...
couple of things - should be easy to learn and i should be able to find it on QQ music...
I asked them to choose, they came back with "I am a big big Girl" and "Oh my love, you hold my hand" something like these (and 75% of my students are men).
Suggestions? Please...
Thanks!!

If you are going to teach them A English song, you should have spend some time to search for them by yourself instead of giving them the choice.
1. You can find hundreds of educational songs online on different sites such as eslcafe.
2. Now they have choosen the songs, its better to work on those songs since you knew the taste of Chinese adults when it comes to songs. Didn't you hear the stupid ringtones of a 'bossy' dude passing by?
What exactly are you looking for? The song or teaching plan forteaching the song ?
there has be a lesson plan? I though, just play in background, let them repeat it, and maybe correct the pronunciation where ever needed.
I will check the eslcafe also, Couldn't Google it before, because of that WPKG thing, so thought of posting it here...
If you can share an experience in teaching a song to adults will be great...
What is there to teach? Lesson plan? Run the song, and behave like a symphony director with hands out of your pocket.
You can howl with them few words at the beginning like 'London fridge is falling down, falling down.......and again.....'
(Maybe all the talk about the Armenian Genocide is making my thoughts drift to System Of A Down. Regardless, go with Hypnotize).
Why don't you ask the kids at Tiananmen Square
Was fashion the reason why they were there?
They disguise it, Hypnotize it.
Television made you buy it.

More than just filler lyrics, with a moderate pace and abundant pause moments every few words. Romantic, but PG approved and not too sickly sweet.
This is for a class that actually wants to learn and be challenged. If there is even one student scared of losing face, the whole class must revert to a snail's pace. "No child left behind."
I have used songs in the past. Two good ones I use is Better Midler's "The Rose" and Simon and Garfunkel's "Bridge Over Troubled Waters". Both have strong symbolism in the lyrics that can be used in discussions. They are easy for KTV type of singing for the students. And, it is more than likely something they have not heard of before. If you leave it up to them, they will no dount try to pic something they already know.
