Q: Quiet town for a short trip?

I'm considering a little trip somewhere, after the Spring Festival, but I don't know where.
I was hoping to find a quiet city where it's warm during winter, and that isn't overcrowded, but where there also is a night life (cheap bars and such), women, and NO foreigners. And it'd had to fit into a student's budget.

Go to Shenzhen and get a place by the ocean. That way you can also go to Hong Kong if you want. They have lots of foreigners and it should fit the student budget.

Try any of the coastal cities in Guangxi Province on the Bay of Tonkin.  It's warm down there, the locals are quite friendly, the cost of living is less than in other places, the scenery is great and etc., etc.

Then there are also Guiling and Yangshou which are really nice places to visit althought they are not as warm as the coast, albeit they have considerable, for the size, foreign populations.

If you want to travel a bit further, you may wish to consider Yunnan.  It's  a great place to go this time of year.  It's a great province in which to go exploring and the weather, while not hot, is still very clement and the landscapes are quite verdant.
