Q: Recommend gym in Futian

Hi, I will be moving to Shenzhen at the start of next month and am trying to decide whether or not to find an apartment with a gym / fitness centre or just try to find one locally.

I plan to live near Yitian station / Fuqiang Road. Can anyone recommend a decent gym in that area? How much is it monthly?

Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure if they have monthly fees. The gym I'm with had me sign a contract for at least a year or two. I visited another gym and they had the same principles written down. You had to sign up with their gym for at least a year. They might have the 6 month plan, but I haven't heard of the monthly fees that you may be accustomed to back home. Wherever it is you stayed before.

My gym has a pool, free classes including bike, yogo, combat ,dance, hip hop etc., It also has weights free weights and machine weights. My cost was less than 2000 kuai for 2 years.

The nearby gym I visited had a price of 4000 kuai to up to 100,000 rmb. They offered massage therapists in some of the packages...

A:Well, doing a medical exam ahead of time wasn't actually necessary. I signed a promissary note stating that I was in good health and would do the result once I arrived in China. This was enough. -- norninman
